I love the 52 Essential Relationships cards! We are using them for staff meetings before the kids arrive to get in the mindset of preparing children for life and transforming the time with them into quality time.
Having researched and piloted different platforms for my students to explore what it means to engage in deeper relationships with their peers. I found 52 Essential Relationships to be the one that allows my students to individually grow and shape what it means to be a positive and good role model, community member, and friend.

These cards are a great tool to use with students of all ages! They are engaging and encourage thought-provoking conversations. They are good conversation starters but I thought they were a little overpriced. They are playing cards with questions on them so you can have a conversation while doing something else.

My kids and I commit one meal to no electronics, during the meal we bring out the Relationship Skills for Empathy set and they love it. My kids remind me to use the cards at times, they love it so much. I can honestly say that it's help me become closer with my kids, ages 10 and 12. I am grateful to have found these amazing cards which have made a significant difference in my family, thank you to the makers.

I teach a graduate level course on Leadership and Collaboration to masters level students. I have a lesson on Emotional Intelligence and I have found this deck to be invaluable in having the students critically think and reflect on their EQ skills, and to stimulate discussion on where they are at. It’s easy to talk about Emotional Intelligence but it adds a whole other level to make sure students are thinking about and understanding the concepts, and this deck is a simple yet powerful way to address that.

I liked using these cards in my education groups. The many different prompts give it many different uses can be used for any game that you would use traditional playing cards for. You would just now have each group member answer a prompt during their turn

Just got the cards and it has been a fun way to stimulate meaningful conversations w the kids in the car, while driving... the questions/prompts have segued into personal observations and stories told and discussed by everyone in the car! These cards are a great alternative to kids watching videos or playing minecraft on road trips...

Anyone working on EI or wanting to grow/ nourish / (maybe even fix??) a relationship needs these! I’ve been telling my boyfriend he needs to work on emotional intelligence and he told me to teach him and I didn’t know a good way to start, til I found these. This makes it fun and playful. I absolutely love this game! 52 Essential Relationships has seriously helped my family. My 5 year old takes speech therapy, and has a hard time communicating with us how he feels with his words, and this game has helped not only him, but my husband who is now much more patient with him, and feels he understands him better. I highly recommend this game to anyone with children, or has a hard time communicating with loved ones. I even recommended 2 of my teacher friends to get it for their classroom.

I purchased this game originally to play with my nieces and nephews, but was so eager to try it out when I first received it in the mail, that I managed to convince my skeptical, close-lipped New Englander boyfriend to play a round with me first. I was really surprised to find that we were learning new things about each other's preferred communication styles within the very first hand. When I finally had a chance to play with my 10-year old niece, the cards led to some really interesting conversations about how to engage with others with greater empathy and consideration. Ultimately all of these skills are incredibly useful in building and maintaining relationships with others. I'm happy to say this game was insightful in my interactions with both adults and children - great versatility!

MindBrain Parenting has done it again! This deck of cards is a wonderful conversation starter for parents and kids, adults or students! The questions are simple enough that young kids can answer, but deep enough that you can really start a good conversation off of them. Thoughtfully crafted and designed. Highly recommend!
