Vacuum

  1. Get the vacuum cleaner out of the closet or storage area.
  2. Make sure the vacuum bag or canister is empty and the filters are clean before you start.
  3. Attach the appropriate attachment for the type of floor you will be cleaning (e.g. carpet, hardwood, etc.).
  4. Turn the vacuum cleaner on and start by vacuuming the edges of the room first. Move the vacuum cleaner in a back and forth motion along the baseboards to pick up any dirt and debris.
  5. Once you have finished the edges, start vacuuming the rest of the room. Move the vacuum cleaner in a back and forth motion, working your way towards the door.
  6. Pay attention to corners and hard-to-reach areas. Use the attachments to get into these areas and clean them thoroughly.
  7. Make sure to vacuum under furniture and along the edges of walls.
  8. Once you have finished vacuuming the room, turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it.
  9. Empty the vacuum bag or canister, and clean or replace the filters if necessary.
  10. Store the vacuum cleaner back in the closet or storage area.
