Unclog the Toilet
-
First, grab a plunger. Show them what a plunger looks like, and explain that it's used to clear blockages in the toilet.
-
Put the plunger into the toilet bowl, making sure it covers the drain hole completely. Then, push down and pull up on the handle of the plunger in a quick motion. This creates suction that helps to dislodge the clog.
-
Keep plunging until the water starts to drain from the bowl. This may take several attempts, so don't give up too soon!
-
Once the water has drained, flush the toilet to see if it's fully cleared. If it's still clogged, repeat the plunging process until the blockage is removed.
-
Finally, when the toilet is fully unclogged, show them how to clean the plunger and place it back in its proper place.
