Empty the Dishwasher
-
Start by making sure the dishwasher is completely finished with the washing and drying cycle. You don't want to open it up too soon and have wet dishes spill water on you!
-
Open the dishwasher and remove the bottom rack first. This is usually where the bigger plates and bowls go.
-
Take the dishes out of the bottom rack and place them on the kitchen counter or table. Be careful not to drop anything or clank the dishes together too loudly.
-
Once the bottom rack is empty, move on to the top rack. This is usually where cups, glasses, and smaller plates go.
-
Take the dishes out of the top rack and place them on the counter or table. Again, be careful not to drop anything.
-
When you've emptied all the dishes, it's time to put them away in their proper places. Plates and bowls go in the cabinet or cupboard where they belong, while cups and glasses go in the cupboard with the other cups and glasses.

Lastly, don't forget to close the dishwasher once you're finished!
